The Academy for Educational Development (AED) has immediate openings for full-time positions for the Learning Center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Positions are available for full-time ESL teachers.
The Learning Center staff will provide academic support to students in graduate-level studies in science/technology fields. Services available through the Learning Center will include one-on-one tutoring, workshops, and lectures to strengthen students’ English skills to enable them to succeed academically.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESL Teachers:
-MA degree in English language teaching and/or other relevant subject area or relevant professional experience teaching at the UNIVERSITY level, pref those w/experience teaching Grad students.
-At least 3 years of experience teaching ESL at the college/university level
-Background in English for Specific Purposes and Technical English is highly desirable
-Experience with materials development
-Experience teaching/tutoring/counseling in a Learning Center environment is an asset.
